The Exuberant and Wondrous Experiences from So Wild and Out of the Blue
Endowed with white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, Soneva Fushi is an authentic, real-life representation of awe-inspiring romantic fantasies that whirl through your mind in times of bliss. Similarly the resort’s sister island, Soneva Jani, is irrevocably illuminating through it’s perfect blend of luxury and nature with properties that scream glamour and prestige. Apart from both of the resorts’ clear success in introducing unique atmospheres with the most idyllic surroundings and services, the dining experiences at these wondrous spectacles will leave you craving for more.
Along with the rise of a new era with the resort’s debut of ‘Chapter Two’, Soneva Jani developed a grand set of options for their dining menu. This expansion of the resort’s existing culinary offerings saw the introduction of So Wild by Diane von Cranach, a sanctuary based in the midst of the mystical Organic Garden. This jaw-dropping menu is awakened and elevated through the chef’s 50 years of experience based in plant-focused dining and draws inspiration from Ayurveda (meaning knowledge of life), creating one of the most holistic and refined varieties of cuisines in the country.
The masterpieces created at this utopian, otherworldly restaurant revives historical recipes from around South-East Asia and Indonesia and works magnificently to enhance flavours of the ingredients grown at the island. These dishes are carefully prepared with skillful hands using techniques such as flash-frying and dehydrating when not prepared raw and will have your mouth watering for seconds. This intimate atmosphere surrounded by nature’s finest scenic views, aromas of fresh garden herbs and gently illuminated with the orange glow of candle light brings to light the perfect aura for unforgettable date nights under the benign luminescence of the Maldivian starry nights.
Similarly, Soneva Fushi also provides an extremely luxurious dining destination through Out of the Blue. This remarkable two-storey, overwater structure, houses five new f&b experiences and integrates intimate settings with few seatings for exclusive or romantic nights out and alfresco shared-dining area settings for all to relish in as well. This extravaganza further expands upon the already versatile and extensive dining options available on the island, sitting at the centre of the humongous structure overlooking the rich, blue, Indian Ocean, this 50-seater, all-day dining area hosts a large selection of different kitchens with international cuisines.
This cultural potpourri is reflected by restaurants such as So Hand’s On, a dedicated sushi counter that seats five diners for lunch and dinner, the Chinese Kitchen who serves modern Chinese cuisine, the Modern Japanese Kitchen, serving Japanese delicacies and So Cheesy who focus on paying homage to the gooey goodness of all things cheese. The area also includes So Hot, a restaurant expertising in meats and vegetables, Robata Grill, Jasper Grill, Pizza Oven and most importantly So Chilled, where they will reintroduce Soneva’s well-loved chocolate and ice cream parlour.
The dining experiences at Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani are equally desirable and distinctive in their own way and together they are highly representative of a unique, unparalleled array of delicacies that you will never find anywhere else.
