Sun Siyam Resorts Fly High

Their new luxury aircraft has a one-of-a-kind exterior that incorporates visual elements common to Maldivian culture, such as patterns found on traditional Libaas, stylized descriptions of the 'Fattaru bai' (gold medallions traditionally worn with the libaas), and meticulously hand-carved patterns found in Liyelaa jehun – lacquered, handwrought containers or bowls originally crafted to be presented to the sultan, other royalty.

The concept and idea were devised and brought to reality by local talents who work at the company, affectionately dubbed Kamana, which means woman in Maldivian. The team intended to bring this concept to life by exhibiting traditional and beautiful Maldivian art on a visually engaging platform, such as a branded seaplane, because Sun Siyam is a 100 percent Maldivian firm. Kamana will transport tourists from Velana International Airport to Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, as well as to their newest facility, Siyam World, which offers never-before-seen activities.

Sun Siyam Resorts has enhanced their already frictionless guest transfer experience to even greater heights, giving a level of unique services that only industry-leading companies can give, thanks to Kamana and their world-class lounge.
