These activities planned by JOALI involve a range of fun-filled, educational activities which is hosted by Muramas Kids Club, where the young guests will have the opportunity to try new ventures in the fields of culture, oceanography, environmental science, health, astronomy, sports and creative arts.

 

 

Not only would all the children coming to the island be well acquainted with the sparkling blue Indian Ocean magic, they would also discover the spectacle that exists beneath the ocean with the numerous activities that the resort has planned out about marine life. These engaging interactions, hosted by JOALI’S Resident Marine Biologist, Ida-Wenona Hendricks, would provide young visitors with the chance to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the ocean. And the best part? The children get to take part in guided snorkeling tours from which they would receive first hand view and experience of the exquisite wonders of the underwater world.

 

Furthermore, JOALI’s Resident Yoga and Holistic Teacher is said to facilitate yoga sessions that will ensure that these young children deal with stress in healthy ways whilst also boosting their energy and relaxation. These sessions are also set to help promote self-care, self-esteem and body awareness through non competitive physical exercises such as asanas, mindful breathing exercises and basic yoga techniques. This summer camp of sorts is also going to get children to channel their energy into activities in a positive manner through their Tennis Academy. JOALI's Summer Discovery Camp will also incorporate activities based on letting children express themselves in diverse forms of creative expression. Therefore, they have included a clay and ceramics arts class, allowing the young innovators to express themselves by bringing to life their imaginative illustrations. This burst of creativity can also be channeled by the island’s DJ Workshops which is also included in the summer programmes. These weekly sessions will provide basic instructions to disc jockeying, hands-on practice with beat-mixing, spinning and scratching so that children with the passion for music can learn new techniques. This summer programme also plans on introducing stargazing as part of the camp where the little ones can learn about the moon, constellations and planets from playing educational space-themed games.
